I would like to point out that there never was a time when this was not true, sure new technology makes it look that way, but there never was a time where you could really trust anything. Remember Paul Rever’s drawing of the Boston ‘Massacre’? That was the equivalent of photoshop in that day, and when Jesus was resurrected, remember what happened Matthew 28 11-15 “<span class=”text Matt-28-11″>11 As they were on their way, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. </span><span id=”en-HCSB-24208″ class=”text Matt-28-12″>12 After the priests[b] had assembled with the elders and agreed on a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money </span><span id=”en-HCSB-24209″ class=”text Matt-28-13″>13 and told them, “Say this, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole Him while we were sleeping.’ </span><span id=”en-HCSB-24210″ class=”text Matt-28-14″>14 If this reaches the governor’s ears,[c] we will deal with[d] him and keep you out of trouble.” </span><span id=”en-HCSB-24211″ class=”text Matt-28-15″>15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been spread among Jewish people to this day.”?</span>
People shouldn’t have gotten so trusting to pictures and video, nor expected better from the fallen race of mankind!
Also, there’s no way you can put a restriction on technology, nor should you. You should put a restriction on evil, and punish it wherever you can, but you can’t stop technology – it would do as much bad as good, or more. I understand the concern, really, I sometimes wonder if my whole life is just a trick. I don’t think it is, but my children, or there children, might really come to live in a fake world, a world where they are never exposed to a single trugth, but only twisted government/media lies. We have to find a way to cut off the bad branches, without cutting off the good ones, or else we’ll produce no fruit at all.
Remember, any other technology is can be just as bad! Fire can burn houses and forests, people and animals. Iron makes swords and daggers, chemicals explode, poison, burn, dissolve. Just think if there were no explosions allowed, your car ingine couldn’t run! No man could fly to the moon! No sun could produce light and heat. If we stopped all explosions, we’d have a really mess on our hands. If we stopped all video editing or audio editing technology, there would be reprocussions. No audiobooks, no movies, no docuementaries, no siri, etc.
Even if you are not convinced, there is no way for you to stop it. Technology is rarely reversable. You must find a way to adapt to it and strike out the evil in it.
